In July 2024, Apriorit successfully attained the TISAXยฎ (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) certification, an internationally recognized standard for information security within the automotive industry and beyond.
The TISAX framework helps establish a standardized approach to cybersecurity in automotive companies and validate the security posture of their suppliers and service providers.
By achieving TISAX certification, Apriorit demonstrates compliance with this robust set of industry rules, enhancing our ability to protect client data and operate securely.
Proud Moment for Apriorit! This accomplishment underscores our dedication to upholding the highest standards of information security, particularly in the automotive sector. With TISAX certification, we reaffirm our commitment to safeguarding our clients’ data through stringent security protocols and robust processes. What does TISAXยฎ stand for
Our TISAXยฎ certification brings significant value to our clients. Hereโs how it benefits you:
Enhanced security
With TISAX certification, your data is secured against evolving threats, ensuring its confidentiality, integrity, and availability throughout its lifecycle. This guarantees that your sensitive information is handled with the utmost care and advanced security measures.
Increased trust
TISAX is widely recognized by top-tier companies, especially within the automotive industry. By partnering with a TISAX-certified vendor, you gain the confidence of working with a trusted, credible company that adheres to stringent industry standards.
Compliance and risk management
The TISAX certificate assures that Apriorit follows industry-specific security standards and meets regulatory requirements, minimizing risks related to data security. This certification acts as a benchmark for our robust risk management and compliance protocols.
Certification process
Our TISAX certification process took four months overall. It involved an audit of Aprioritโs information security measures, infrastructure, processes, and data protection practices. Most of that time was spent on self-assessment and implementing improvements aligned with the new VDA ISA version 6, which is mandatory now. Thanks to our already well-established Information Security Management System (ISMS), we felt confident that we could meet the tight deadlines and successfully obtain the required TISAX labels.
We are incredibly proud of this milestone, which demonstrates our position as one of the frontrunners in cybersecurity and automotive software development.

What is TISAX
TISAXยฎ (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) is a comprehensive and standardized assessment procedure specifically designed for the automotive industry. It ensures that companies handling sensitive information adhere to stringent international security standards. Managed by the ENX Association, this certification mechanism is based on the Information Security Assessment (ISA) questionnaire developed by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). The ISA, in turn, builds on key elements of the internationally recognized ISO 27001 standard for information security.
The ISA also references ISO/SAE 62443-2-1, a standard for securing industrial control systems (IACS) and operational technologies (OT), such as automation and monitoring systems in production facilities. This makes TISAXยฎ particularly well-suited for ensuring the security of both IT systems and industrial environments.
TISAXยฎ assessments are monitored by international bodies, including the VDA and ENX Association, ensuring the consistency and quality of audits. The exchange mechanism facilitates trust between participants by enabling certified companies to share their results with partners and clients, streamlining the process of demonstrating security compliance.
With over 10,000 locations worldwide assessed according to TISAXยฎ, it has become the second most widely adopted information security standard after ISO 27001.
